Hundreds of thousands of people across Canada are expected to participate in The Annual Terry Fox Run on Sunday, September 18th.  In 2010, Canadians donated $28 million to cancer research by participating in 800 Terry Fox Runs and 9,000 School Events. The 2011 Terry Fox run is dedicated to Betty Fox, Terry's mother and the force behind the Terry Fox Foundation, who passed away June 17th.

In Airdrie, the run will start in Nose Creek Park and you can chose to bike, walk or run a 1k, 2k, 5k,  or 10k route. The event is also dog-friendly so bring out your furry friends to help support the cause. Participants don't have to register in advance, nor is there an entry fee to participate. Registration starts at 10 am with the event starting at 11.
