With the 2023 Calgary Stampede over, and only 350-some days left till next year's 'Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth', this year's attendance record not only exceeded last year's numbers, but numbers from 2019 meaning that 2023 recorded the second-highest attendance.

2023 saw a grand total of 1,384,632 visitors, in comparison to 2022, which saw 1,216,859 visitors. Previous to this year, 2019 was recorded as having the second-highest number of attendees with 1,275,465 visitors. 2012, the Stampede's centennial year saw 1,409,371 people attend.

But it wasn't just attendance records that were broken, as flapjack records were flipped as well. On Sunday, July 9, the Stampede broke the Guinness World Record for most pancakes served in eight hours
