It was an intense game at the Ron Ebbesen Arena yesterday (March 4th) as the Airdrie Xtreme and Calgary Bisons played Game Two of their South Region Final.

After a double-overtime thriller in Game One, the Xtreme found themselves down a game and needed a big victory.

After falling 2-0 by the third period, the Xtreme stormed back to tie the game thanks to goals from Ty Mueller and Keagan Slaney.

Both teams took plenty of shots in the first two overtime periods, but the game still remained a tie heading into the third overtime.

Josh Davies would finally net the game-winner with just over three minutes to go in that third frame to give the Xtreme a 3-2 win.

Freddie Halyk was solid in net making 30 saves, not nearly as much as his counterpart with the Bisons, Marek Pocherewny, who had 51 saves.

With the series now tied at a game apiece, the teams will play a pivotal Game Three in Calgary tomorrow night.
