Two Airdrie players hit the ice last night (January 3rd) in the Western Hockey League, but only one came away with a victory.

Barrett Sheen and the first place Moose Jaw Warriors easily took care of the Red Deer Rebels 6-3 with Sheen scoring one assist.

The story for Gary Haden and the Medicine Hat Tigers was different as they played a hard fought game but lost 4-3 in overtime to the Calgary Hitmen.

Haden had one assist for the Tigers in that game.

The WHL has the night off but resumes for a full slate of games tomorrow with Sheen and the Warriors facing the Hitmen and Haden and the Tigers playing the Edmonton Oil Kings.
