The Airdrie ACES Athletics Club came up big last weekend (May 13th-14th) at the Calgary Spring Challenge.

The club won nine medals at the meet, with one third of them going to the same athlete.

Jinaye Shomachuk claimed her three gold medals in the discus, shot put and hammer throw competitions.

Long distance runner Aiden Good won two gold of his own with hurdler Tristan Arevalo-Remus taking top prize in the 200m event.

The club also took home a Silver Medal thanks to Ava Sleik's impressive performance in the youth women's high jump.

Jasmine Szucs and Kashay Kelsick rounded out the medal winner with a bronze each in the long jump and 200m hurdles.
