On Saturday, December 3, The Airdrie 1st Club posted on their social media that due to the number of hamper applications that they have received, they cannot approve any more families in need without more donations or sponsors.

"We are just barely into December when we expect the largest volume of applicants and we are seeing huge numbers of Airdronians in need," the Facebook post read. "We need donations, please!"

The Club stated that any donation amount would help and that donations over $20 are also available for a tax receipt from the organization. Gift card donations for grocery stores and department stores are also welcome as the most commonly needed gift card donation amount is $25.

"If you want to donate right now, you can even send an e-transfer to us at info@airdrie1st.com. Our Hamper Depot is at Quest Braces but we will also come and pick up donations too!"

The club is also desperately in need of sponsors for an entire family. This is typically $500-$1000 and more for larger families in need. To find out how you can help visit the Airdrie 1st Club's website.
