On September 14th, 2011, at approximately 11p.m, the Airdrie RCMP responded to a 9-1-1 call of an armed robbery from the Best Western Regency Inn Hotel on Edmonton Trail.

Two male suspects entered the establishment brandishing what was reported to be a long barreled firearm and confronted front desk clerks. They obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene in a Red Dodge Ram pickup truck.

The pickup was later located abandoned a short distance away. No one was injured during this incident.

The first male is described as Caucasian, approximately 5'10" to 6'0" tall, heavy set, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with a light coloured shirt tied around his face, dark coloured Addidas track pants  and wearing Black and Yellow work gloves.

The second male is believed to be a Native, approximately 5'10" tall, medium build, dressed in a dark Blue hooded sweat shirt with a Red UFC logo on the upper chest with a light coloured shirt tied around his face, dark pants and Black Gloves.
