The Airdrie Home and Lifestyle show was held April 28th and 29th and attracted more than 200 exhibitors to Genesis Place.

The show is put on by the Airdrie Chamber of Commerce every year and is their biggest fundraiser.

Interim Executive Director Marie Lauer believes this was a great opportunity for local businesses to get out and interact with the community.

"We have new vendors every year, some are new to the community, and they say they really appreciate the opportunity to try and expose as many people as possible to their business. You know what it's like in this world, there is no silver bullet for marketing and promotions and it's one of the most difficult things for small business. So this is just another venue for them to market their programs and services to people who may not otherwise hear about them."

There is a lot that goes into the event, Lauer states the preparation for this year's show started in October and ran until the beginning of April.

With the show now over the Chamber of Commerce estimates that around 4000 people came out to see the vendors.
