The Canadian Senior Baseball Championships could have a bronze lining for the Alberta champion Airdrie A's.

The A's will face British Columbia in this morning's (July 22) bronze medal game in Edmonton starting at 10:00 am.

Airdrie ended up seeded fourth after finishing with a 2 and 4 record and after all the tiebreakers were taken into consideration.  That put them in the rather unenviable position of having to face the host team, the undefeated Edmonton Cubs in last night's semi-final.

In their round-robin game, the Cubs won by 15 runs over the A's and they did it again last night, downing Airdrie 16 - 1.

That sets up a meeting between Airdrie and B.C. in the bronze medal match.  The west coast club lost a close one, 5 - 4 to the Atlantic representatives.

In the round-robin meeting between the two, B.C. came away with a narrow 10 - 9 win so it should be a close game.

The gold medal final between Edmonton and Team Atlantic goes at 2:00 pm this afternoon.
