The municipal candidates running for council will be addressing related questions about Arts and Culture.

On October 7th at 7 pm, the municipal candidates will be in a zoom call all together ready to answer any questions related to arts and culture in airdrie.

Kim Cheel is excited to see some new faces alongside older faces who helped put the forum together.

“There are about 8 of us, some new faces, some people I go way back with, other people are new faces coming into the scene for Arts and Culture in Airdrie. So hopefully that helps broaden the perspective of what arts and culture features in Airdrie.”

An Art and Culture forum is just another avenue where invested people in the cultural community are allowed to ask questions. Whether it’s professional artists and professional members of the cultural community.

In the past Airdrie has shown its support for different cultures like Filipino and Latino through statues and various festivals.

Whoever is elected on October 18th will then have a better idea of how to serve every constituent just because they will be able to branch out and hear their concerns, says Cheel.

It will be live streamed on Cheel's Facebook page for people to watch. People can submit questions during the live stream through the comments.

“We will be very closely moderating the comments so that we can communicate those questions that the general public population be asking and communicate that to our moderator.”
