The Airdrie Thunder have earned themselves a spot in the semi-finals in the Heritage Junior Hockey League.

Last night (February 27) the Thunder took on the Blackfalds Wranglers in game 4 of a 5 game series, taking the win 4-1.

The Wranglers earned the first point of the game but it only took two and a half minutes for Clay Murray to tie it up 1 - 1. In the third, the Thunder came on strong and earned 3 more goals to clinch the win.

Although the Thunder have earned their spot in the semi-finals, the team has not yet learned who they will face off against in the next 7 game series.

The Mountain View Colts and the Red Deer Vipers are playing game 3 tonight with both teams sitting with one win. If the series goes to game 5, the Thunder will find out which team they will face off against on Saturday (March 3).
