The City of Airdrie has announced that the city's Municipal Enforcement is hosting a Traffic Safety Amnesty Day on Saturday, June 24.

"Our officers are offering complementary vehicle safety checks to anyone that stops by. They want to emphasize education and awareness rather than enforcement," a city press release stated.

There won’t be any tickets for safety deficiencies discovered during vehicle inspections. Instead, the primary focus is to educate and inform the public about vehicle safety.

Residents are encouraged to stop in at the Town and Country Centre parking lot between 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and have their vehicles checked while learning what they can do to keep Airdrie safe.
