The Airdrie Female Elite AA Lightning were quite busy last weekend, collecting two much-needed wins at home.

On Friday (January 26), the Lightning hoped to continue their dominance over the Lethbridge Cyclones as the teams met in Airdrie.

In a very close game, Tayor Seegmiller scored the winning goal while Kayla Savoie-Penton made 19 saves for a 2-1 victory.

On Saturday, the girls were still at home and ready to battle with the Peace Country Storm. The game was all Airdrie as Madison Black's two goals and two assists paved the way for a 5-2 win for the Lightning.

With those two wins, the Lightning are now tied with the Calgary Fire-White for second place in the South Division with 39 points.

The Lightning won't play as a team until February 9th, but several players will be on the ice this weekend the AFHL Prospects Game.
