Airdrie Mounties have provided a few more details on the incident that occurred on Thursday afternoon in the city's southwest.

According to police, they were dispatched just after noon on Thursday to an assault in progress near 8 Street and Prairie Drive South. 

"After an investigation, one adult and fourth youth were arrested and charged," police stated.

However, police added that the individuals have since been released for court at a later time.

Because the incident is still under investigation, other details were not provided.
