Another resident of Airdrie has died from COVID-19 bringing the total number of residents who have succumbed to the virus to 14.  

The death was reported in today's (January 15) provincial update.  The number of active cases dropped by 14 today to 148 in the city.  Twenty-one more people have recovered from the illness for a total of 1,517.

The active cases in Rocky View County fell by a single case today to 78 while 686 have recovered.  The county death toll remains at four. 

The provincial total of active cases dropped by 245 to 12,189.  There were 758 new cases identified today from 13,575 tests in the past 24 hours.  The number of Albertans being treated in hospital fell by ten to 795.  The number in intensive care fell dramatically to 124 from yesterday's 136.

Thirteen more Albertans died from COVID-19 pushing the provincial toll to 1,402.  

More than 74,000 people have now been immunized.
