There should be no doubt about what Ty Rattie can bring to Team Canada at this year's World Junior Championship. He's a scoring machine, a team leader, and down to earth with a level head.

Monday, November 28th was a big day for the former Airdrie Xtreme player, as not only was he named to the 41 man roster for the upcoming Team Canada Evaluation Camp, he was also named the Western Hockey League's Player of the Week.

7 goals, 5 assists and a +8 in four games, leading your team to a 3-1-0 will turn a few heads.

Rattie is excited at the opportunity to do the same on a grander scale at the World Juniors.

But the local kid knows what lies ahead for not only himself, but his Portland Winterhawks between now, and the December 10th camp.

Rattie is currently tied for the WHL's league lead in goals with 27, and sits third in points with 50. He was drafted 32nd overall by the St. Louis Blues in this past June's Entry Draft.
