It was an exciting weekend for Hockey in Cochrane as the local boys took one on home ice on November 6th.

The AC Avalanche played their first games of the month last weekend against two of the toughest clubs in Calgary in the Alberta Minor Midget Hockey League.

On November 5th, the Avalanche were in tough against the CBHA Rangers and fell 7-3.

The team bounced back the next day thanks to two goals from Ethan Noble. The Avalanche would take care of the CNHA Canucks 5-2 on home ice.

That victory was the third of the season for the Avalanche who currently sit 11th in the South Division.

Next up for the Cochrane boys is a date with the SEAC Tigers on November 12th in Medicine Hat.
