A thrilling season came to an end last week for Airdrie's Kurtis Chapman and his Junior A team.

The Portage Terriers lost their final round robin game on May 4, to the Penticton Vees, 5-3, officially knocking them out of the Western Canada Cup.

As he's been throughout the post-season, Chapman was solid in net making 27 saves in the loss.

The Terriers finished the tournament with 1 win and 3 losses, finishing fifth overall.

The Brooks Bandits would win the overall competition with the Penticton Vees taking the second Western spot in the 2017 RBC Cup in Cobourg, Ontario.
