Local goalie Kurtis Chapman and the Portage Terriers began their path to the RBC Cup last weekend.

In Game one of the tournament, Chapman made 28 saves to lift the Terriers to a 5-3 victory over the Battleford North Stars on April 30th.

It was a tougher test the next day (May 1st) against the BCHL Champions, the Chilliwack Chiefs.

Chapman was solid, making 17 saves but the Terriers fell 2-1.

Next up for the team is a game against the Alberta Junior Hockey League Champions, the Brooks Bandits, on May 3rd.
