This past Friday and Saturday, Cochrane's 'Marathon Man', Martin Parnell, played in 'Lacrosse Quest 24', an attempt to set the first Guinness World Record for the longest game of lacrosse.

Many shifts were taken during the course of the game, played at South Fish Creek Arena in Calgary.

Parnell describes the strict rules set out by Guinness in order to set the record.

Parnell's goal was to raise over $50,000 for his charity, 'Right To Play'. After raising $30,000, they're still accepting online donations to make up the difference. Until June 1, you can go to Hotbox Lacrosse to donate.

Incidentally, the final score was the Donkey's 299; the Unicorns 296. The score is required to set the record as well.
