The Airdrie Thunder aren't in action tonight (November 29) in the Heritage Junior Hockey League but you can bet they'll be interested in the two teams that are.

The Mountainview Colts host the Red Deer Vipers at 8:00 in the Didsbury Recreation Complex in the first meeting of the season between the two clubs.

What will draw the attention of the Thunder is the fact Red Deer is just one point behind them in first place in the league's Northern Division and can pass Airdrie with a win tonight.

Red Deer also has three games in hand over the Thunder.

Last night, the Blackfalds Wranglers could have moved into a first place tie with Airdrie but failed to do so after dropping a 3 - 2 decision to the Stettler Lightning.
