You might excuse Stettler Lightning goaltender Indiana Kelly if he checks himself in for therapy after last night's (February 11) game against the Mountainview Colts.

Kelly turned in a superhuman effort facing 77 shots and stopping 72 of them as the Mountainview Colts cruised to a 5 - 0 whitewash of the Lighting.  It was the first game of an opening-round best of five in the Heritage Junior Hockey League.

Through two periods, when he faced 53 Colts shots, Mitchell Visser was the only Mountainview player to beat Kelly.  In the third, the Colts added four more goals, two by Caden Switzer with singles coming from Travis Gerrard and Paton Rothenbusch.

The Colts and Lightning meet for game two of the series tomorrow night in Stettler.

In last night's other opening-round North matchup, the Sylvan Lake Wranglers doubled the Rocky Rams 6 - 3.
