As the Canadian Finals Rodeo descends into its final days, the competition is becoming fierce.

Jake Vold, who has held first place throughout most of the finals, had his spot nabbed by Manitoban competitor, Orin Larsen, who rode to 87.25 points on Mucho Dinero while Vold finished third on Friday night with a 86.5 point ride on You See Me. 

Taber barrel racer Nancy Csabay and her horse had a phenomenal run with a penalty-free 14.754 second run.

The Cassidy brothers continued to dominate in steer wrestling with Cody and Curtis having identical 3.7 second runs.

It's a battle royale for the top spot in team roping, which has been split between the McCarroll brothers and American partners Russell Cardoza and Dustin Bird.

Clay Elliot took the top spot in saddle bronc riding on Stampede Warrior with an 86.75 ride.

First place in tie-down roping went to Lee Rombough, from Sexsmith, who had a 8.0 second run, which has moved him into third place on the leader ladder behind Al Bouchard.

Tim Lipsett had a solid ride on Night Moves, getting himself 86 points in bull riding.

The Canadian Finals Rodeo continue throughout the weekend with the final performance being on Sunday, November 13.
