Even though Canada Day saw extreme weather, including gusting winds, as well as a tornado touching down North of the city, fireworks are going ahead as planned.
The City of Airdrie will indeed be commencing with its firework display this evening at Chinook Winds Park. They will start at approximately 10:45 p.m. or dusk - whichever comes first.
Amidst speculation that fireworks shows would be cancelled in both Carstairs and Didsbury, both towns confirmed late on Saturday evening that fireworks would indeed close out Canada Day.
