After two devastating losses to start their season, the Airdrie Dragons got a taste of sweet victory last night (November 5).

The Dragons played their home opener against Trails West, who were also winless heading into that game.

The Dragons scored only one goal, but that was all they needed as the defence took care of the rest for a 1-0 victory.

Prior to last night's game, the Junior C hockey team had been outscored 15-4 in their first two outings of the year.

The Dragons will try for win number two on Wednesday (November 8) when they take on the Blackfoot Chiefs, who are currently tied for the best record in the league.
