A 25-year-old Edmonton woman is facing drug-related charges after a traffic stop in Airdrie earlier this month.

It was Wednesday, September 9 at approximately 3:20 a.m. when an officer observed a vehicle that was driving with no tail lights.

The officer initiated a traffic stop and was intending to simply tell the driver to turn their lights on, however after he made contact with the driver he placed her under arrest for drug possession.

A subsequent search of the vehicle turned up various quantities of marihuana, Xanax, cocaine, methamphetamine, and fentanyl.

Elizabeth Quinn has been charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime.

She is due to make an appearance in Airdrie Provincial Court on October 29. In the meantime she has been released from custody on conditions.
