At approximately 4:26 A.M., the Airdrie Fire deparment responded by a house fire at Chinook Gate Bay S.W.

“Firefighters were able to quickly bring the fire under control and remained on scene extinguishing hot spots,” stated a press release from the city.

Damage to the partially constructed, home of origin is extensive and will be deemed a full loss and the immediate adjacent home, which was in earlier stages of construction, will also be a total loss.

“Due to the extreme heat a third home suffered damage to an exposed, exterior wall.”

An investigation by the Fire Prevention Bureau remains underway

No injuries were reported. The fire department utilized six pieces of fire apparatus with 13 firefighters on the scene.

This is the second structure fire that the city’s fire department has responded to this week.
