A total of 10 female Airdronians, nine athletes and one staff member have been chosen to participate in the Alberta Challenge, May 4-7 at the Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre in Red Deer.

The women-only competition in Hockey Alberta's Spring Showcase is the Alberta Challenge. It provides the first chance for participants to participate in the short-term competition and receive an introduction to Team Alberta programs, along with coaches, therapists, equipment managers, and administrators.

A total of six teams, equalling 120 athletes will compete in this challenge. Two goalies, six defence and 12 forwards comprise each team.

“Every year I’m in awe of the dedication the athletes demonstrate at the Regional Camps,” said Kendall Newell, Hockey Alberta’s Manager of Female Hockey. “The competition at the challenge will truly showcase best-on-best competition and allow for athletes and staff to take the next step on their journeys.”

Here are the Airdronians that made one of the six teams.
