The Calgary Stampede has announced that during Stampede week there will be not only plenty of things, food, rides, and spectacles to enjoy, but some things (the best things in life) really are free or at least at a bargain.

Beginning on Thursday, July 6 from 5:00 p.m. to midnight, Sneak-a-Peek night is taking place with half-off gate admission to Stampede Park.

Then on Friday, July 7, spectators are invited to watch more than 105 entries comprised of over 400, four-legged and close to 5,000 two-legged participants march through downtown Calgary before taking advantage of the Stampede Parade to Park presented by Suncor.

"Go straight from the Parade route to Stampede Park to receive free admission from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.," Calgary Stampede.

Tim Hortons Family Day on Saturday, July 9 will be serving up a free pancake breakfast in the GMC Stadium Courtyard from 8 -10 a.m., while quantities last.

"Admission is free for everyone until 11 a.m., but come early if you want to enjoy your coffee in peace as we’ll keep your little cowpoke entertained with a free variety show from 8 a.m. - 10 a.m."

On Tuesday, July 11, TC Energy Community Day means that admission is free for adults and children from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Seniors and military veterans receive free admission all day long and a free pancake breakfast in front of the Nutrien Western Events Centre until 11 a.m., while quantities last.

BMO Kids' Day is on Wednesday, July 12 and that means that there will be a free pancake breakfast in the GMC Stadium Courtyard from 8 a.m. - 9:30 a.m., while quantities last. Stampede Park opens at 7:30 a.m. with free entry for everyone from 8 a.m. - 10 a.m. and free entry for kids 12 & under all day.

Stampede, of course, wouldn't be Stampede without a multitude of pancake breakfasts, and while there are plenty of flapjacks to be had at the ground during Stampede week, there are also local Stampede breakfasts. According to Stampedebreakfast.ca a website that lists where and when local breakfasts are taking place, there will be an Airdrie Stampede Breakfast held at King's Court Church (2964 Kingsview Blvd SE) on Sunday, July 9 and 9 a.m. till 11 a.m. and admission is free.
