Teams are gearing up for the regular season as the last exhibition games in the Alberta Midget Hockey League (AMHL) come to an end.

The Foothills Bisons had a bit of a rough time in the pre-season, but started to find their rhythm on the ice the more games they played.

With the Calgary Buffaloes and the Calgary Northstars winning a game apiece and the Red Deer Optimist Chiefs proving to be a tough competition with two wins, the Bisons were consoled by revengeful victories against both Calgary teams in round two.

The Bisons also won their single game against the Calgary Flames, giving them a pre-season record of 3-4-0.

The defending South Division Champions are looking to start the regular season off strong on Saturday, October 1 when they face off against the Lethbridge AAA Hurricanes.
