Both the Cochrane Generals and Airdrie Thunder came away with lopsided victories last night in the Heritage Junior Hockey League.

The Generals made quick work of the Okotoks Bisons, dumping them 7 - 1 at the Spray Lakes Sawmills Family Sports Centre.

The Thunder travelled to Three Hills and came away with a 6 - 2 win over the home town Thrashers.

With the win, Cochrane increased their lead in the HJHL's Southern Division to 14 points over the Bisons.  Airdrie moved into a first place tie in the Northern Division with the Mountainview Colts.
