The Cochrane Generals had an amazing run but the streak is over.

The boys were feeling pretty good on Friday, October 21, after beating the Strathmore Wheatland Kings 5-1 but on Saturday, things didn't go their way.

The Generals finished the first period against the Coaldale Copperheads, tied 2-2 but the Copperheads quickly pulled ahead in the second, ending the game 9-3.

Though this was their first loss of the season, the Generals set a new franchise record for the longest undefeated streak of 11 games.

The team is still in the top spot in the Heritage Junior Hockey League with 22 points.

Looking to get back on track, the Generals will be back on the ice on Friday, October 21, against the Mountainview Colts.
