A flurry of goals and great plays took the stage for Airdrie's AA teams in the South Central Hockey League (SCAHL).

The Peewee Red Lightning were the only team to play both Saturday and Sunday (October 21, 22).

On Saturday, Tyson Sandhu scored the only goal for Team Red in a 3-1 loss to Okotoks.

The battle of Airdrie took place the next day, and what a battle it was.

Matthew Metcalfe had a hat trick for Team Red, but it wasn't enough as Carter McDermid's Hat Trick stole the show in a 5-4 win for the Lightning White.

The Bantam Lightning shut the door in their only game on Saturday, beating the Central Alberta Selects 9-3 in what turned out to be a brotherly victory.

Erik Thoresen scored a Hat Trick in the game while brother Kieran Thoresen had two goals of his own.

Unfortunately, the story of victory couldn't be told for the Airdrie Midget Lightning who barely lost to the Olds Grizzlys, 1-0.

Despite the loss, goalie Max Johnston was impressive for Airdrie making 34 saves.

The Midget and Bantam Lightning will be back at it for their weekend games starting this Saturday (October 28th).
