RCMP in Strathmore and Chestermere responded to a concern phoned in by the operator of a Greyhound bus traveling westbound towards Calgary yesterday, just after 5PM. The driver had been approached by a worried passenger who claimed he'd overheard a conversation leading him to believe someone on board the bus was in possession of a firearm. To ensure everyone's safety the bus was pulled over by RCMP from Strathmore and Chestermere near the intersection of Highway 791 and the Trans Canada. The people identified were investigated and their baggage examined. The bus was allowed to proceed shortly after it was confirmed there were no weapons involved.
