Despite a special weather statement ending for Airdrie and the surrounding areas, the local forecast is continuing to predict snow.

On Monday evening, there is a chance of showers, which will turn into snow near midnight, with predictions of up to five centimetres of accumulation, accompanied by a windy night. Tuesday, the snow continues with another two to four centimetres possibly falling. Wind gusts could reach up to 60 kilometres per hour near noon on Tuesday, though the daytime high is forecast at two degrees Celsius.

Snow will continue through Tuesday evening, though on Wednesday, the sun will reappear, with warmer temperatures.

Motorists are reminded to remain cautious as the changing weather may make for trick road conditions.
