Airdrie's Mellisa Hollingsworth captured the 30th medal of her career Friday afternoon at the Skeleton World Cup stop in Koenigssee, Germany.

Her two run time of 1:47.19 was good enough for a third place finish, behind leader Shelly Rudman of Britian (1:46.15), and Marion Thees of Germany (1:46.65).

Hollingsworth sits nine points behind Theese in the overall standings, after the German's 2nd place finish valted her over the former leader. Theese currently sits with 938 points to Hollingsworth's 929.

The medal was No. 30 in Hollingsworth's 17-year career. She won bronze on the same track at last year's world championships.
