The Airdrie Irish are 0 and 2 to start the season in the Alberta Football League.
The Irish travelled to St. Albert and dropped a 44 - 10 decision to the Stars. The score was a dramatic improvement over the season opener for the Irish, an 89 - 0 loss to the AFL and Canadian champion Fort McMurray Monarchs.
The Stars improved to 2 and 0.
The Irish will now plan for their home opener next Saturday, June 10th against the Parkland Predators. The game is set for 3:00 pm at Ed Eggerer Field at Genesis Place.
