Airdrie's Mac's Midget Hockey Tournament hopes remained alive yesterday (December 30) as Jake Neighbours and the Calgary Buffaloes advanced.

Neighbours, a first-round Bantam draft pick of the WHL's Edmonton Oil Kings, and the Buffaloes were in tough against the Knights of Columbus Pats and let a 3 - 1 first period lead slip away before ending in a 4 - 4 tie.  Neighbours didn't figure in the scoring for the Buffs.

The tie puts the Buffaloes up against the New York Jr. Islanders today at noon in the Max Bell Arena.  The winner advances to the semi-finals later this afternoon.

The final of the Mac's goes tomorrow at 4:00 pm in the ScotiaBank Saddledome.
