Airdrie’s Jake Vold made it look easy last weekend after winning his second straight Bareback Riding title in less than a week.

Vold rode to an 88.5 in his final performance at the Okotoks Pro Rodeo held in Millarville this year to claim the top spot.

Last Thursday (August 23rd) Vold won the overall average at the Bareback Only event with an 85 and 86.5 in two performances.

Vold said that he was quite impressed with the event in Smithers.

“It’s a small event but they had a good crowd and they ran it very well and the horses were really good. I hope it continues.”

The final Rodeo of the month starts tomorrow (August 29th) in Armstrong B.C.
