The Airdrie Midget Lightning had home ice advantage on Tuesday night.
The team played in front of a packed house at the Ron Ebessen Arena, hoping to grab a win from the CBHA Blackhawks.
It only took one period however to decide the game, with the Blackhawks jumping to a 4-0 lead, that they held till the end.
The Lightning will look for a rebound performance when they play the NWCAA Bruins at home on February 4th
