Both Airdrie lacrosse teams have moved out front in their Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League playoff series after winning last night (July 22).

In the Senior "B" division best of five, the Rocky View Knights edged the Edmonton Warriors 8 - 7 at the Plainsman Arena in Airdrie to take a one game to none lead in the series.

Game two goes this afternoon at 4:00 pm at the Plainsman.  The series then shifts to St. Albert for games three and four next Friday and Saturday.  If game five is needed it'll be played a week from today back in Airdrie.

The Senior "C" Airdrie Mohawks kept their unblemished record intact this season by knocking off the Lethbridge Pioneers 14 - 12.  The 'Hawks now lead the best of three south final one game to none and need a win in game two which is on at 1:00 pm this afternoon at the Plainsman.

If Lethbridge should win, a ten minute mini game would be played right after game two to decide the series.

The win for Airdrie makes 16 straight for the season after an unbeaten regular season.
