The Airdrie U14A Yellow Sting are back after a fun and action packed weekend at the Red Deer Ringette Tournament.

The girls had to come back from a 4-1 deficit in their first game against STA Incendio to tie them 4-4 on Friday (January 5). Claire Kusler scored the tying goal in that game.

Unfortunately, the Sting couldn't find the same finesse in their Saturday match up as they lost 5-2 to SGV Fusion.

In their final game of the tournament, the Sting were up against the top ranked Red Deer Rush. Once again the Sting found themselves down 4-1 but came roaring back to win 6-5 with Kiera Crawford scoring the winning goal, her first of the season.

The U14 team are back on home ice on January 13 at the Plainsman Arena.
