An Airdrie swimmer is in Ontario for one of the biggest events of his young career.

Alexander Sharpe, a member of the Nose Creek Swimming Association is participating in the Can Am Para Swimming Championships in Windsor, Ontario this weekend. (March 31st-April 2nd)

The event will feature some of the best Para Swimmers in the country and is considered the first big meet in preparation for the 2020 Paralympics in Tokyo.

Sharpe enters this tournament on a wave of momentum after collecting 5 medals at the Spring Championships in Edmonton two weeks ago.

The Para Swim Championships wrap up on Sunday, April 2nd.
