Starting today, Thursday, September 14, one lane of Main Street, from Erin Drive to the Nose Creek pickleball courts will be closed down for the remainder of the month.

According to The City of Airdrie, this is to facilitate Nose Creek bank stabilization.

"This project is part of an ongoing effort to enhance the environmental integrity of Nose Creek. Nose Creek bank stabilization and oil/grit separator installation were not done simultaneously because of logistical considerations, the need for access and best practices for ensuring the long-term success of these crucial environmental enhancements," The City stated in a social media post.

Initially, the City had advised that the closures would begin on September 5.
