Airdrie's Ayden Makarus and Team Alberta had more baseball success at the 2017 Canada Summer Games yesterday (July 31).

The day saw Alberta in two games, kicking things off against Team B.C. in the morning.

Alberta easily got the better of B.C., improving their record at the competition to 3-1 with a 12-7 win. Makarus had 3 at-bats in the game, and contributed one run to the score.

In the evening, Alberta faced Team Saskatchewan. Both teams entered the game with a 3-1 record. Alberta was able to control the match, limiting Saskatchewan to just two runs, finishing the game 6 - 2 for the win.

Team Alberta will play their final preliminary game this afternoon (August 1), hoping to get another win against Team Quebec, who they beat 6-2 on Sunday. That game goes at 3:00pm.
