It used to be one team and one player held Airdrie's dreams at the Mac's Midget Hockey Tournament.  After the Airdrie Bisons were eliminated, we still had Jake Neighbours to hope for with the Calgary Buffaloes.  Now, Neighbours too has become a spectator for today's (January 1) finale.

Neighbours and the Buffaloes faced off against the New York Jr. Islanders in one of the quarter-final games at the tournament yesterday and went down by a score of 4 - 1.

The Jr. Islanders then lost in the semi-finals to the Regina Pat Canadians, 2 - 1.

The Canadians will now play the Red Deer Optimist Chiefs in today's Mac's final.  The Chiefs blanked the St. Albert Raiders 1 - 0 in the other semi.

Face off goes at 4:00 pm in the ScotiaBank Saddledome.
