Members of the Nose Creek Swim Association were at the University of Calgary last weekend (July 21-23) for the Western Finale.

NCSA took 31 swimmers to the competition, and the club reeled in a total of 26 medals from the meet.

Abby Sparkes was the big winner from the meet, finishing the weekend with five gold medals and two bronze. She also set a new personal best in the 50 metre Freestyle Finals, registering a time of 27.79 seconds.

Nathan Wong also had a strong showing for the club, bringing home two gold, one silver and three bronze medals. Wong also swam to a new Championships standard time in the 100 metre Butterfly.

Samani Bhusumane contributed three bronze to the medal count, while Keara Franczak added a gold and bronze medal.

Rounding out the medal count was Sean Penner, who came home with a silver and bronze medal. Archie Sherwood also finished with two bronze medals. Jodrynn Rosher finished the weekend with a single silver medal. Christianna Eckstein, Zachary Gladden and Reaghan Kost all ended up with a bronze medal each.
