Just two Airdrie Lightning Elite teams took the last weekend in the South Central Alberta Hockey League (SCAHL).

The Bantam Lightning had the busiest weekend with two big games. In their first game on Saturday (October 28th), the team took advantage of the Taber Golden Suns, winning 6-1.

Joey Haden had another good game for the team with 2 goals, while Zach Cormier and Noah Edstrom picked up 3 assists each.

The team carried that momentum into their next game against the Red Deer Steel Kings but their opponents were able to match that momentum.

Curtis Patrick had a goal and assist but the Kings were too much, winning 5-4.

The Midget Lightning were also in action for one game as they took on the Red Deer Elks last Saturday.

Affiliated player Ethan MacNeill made an impression, scoring a goal late in the first period. Ricky Doucette had a goal and assist but it wasn't enough as the Elks prevailed 7-4.

All four Airdrie Elite teams will be back for another weekend of action beginning on November 3rd.
