On August 19, 2022, at approximately 7:35 P.M., Cochrane RCMP along with Fire and Emergency Services were dispatched to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 1A near Morley Road involving a motorcycle and SUV.
The driver of the motorcycle, a 53-year-old female from Fort Saskatchewan was declared deceased at the scene.
"Our condolences to the family and friends of the deceased," stated an RCMP press release.
The investigation reveals that the SUV was travelling West on Highway 1A when it crossed the yellow center line and collided head-on with the motorcycle.
The investigation into this collision continues.
