Samaritan’s Purse Canada's Operation Christmas Child Shoebox is now underway and Airdronians can help out.

Operation Christmas Child is an annual initiative of Samaritan’s Purse, an international Christian relief organization that works in more than 100 countries

Last year, Canadians filled more than 415,000 shoeboxes for struggling children in West Africa, Central America, Ukraine and the Philippines.

In 2022, 2,041 children in need received Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes from Airdrie residents.

"Since 1993, Operation Christmas Child has collected and distributed more than 200 million shoebox gifts to children in need in more than 100 countries," stated Frank King, News Media Relations Manager with Samaritan’s Purse.
